Is your SPF lip balm chemical or mineral-based?
Our SPF Lip Balm is chemical-based, not mineral. It uses advanced chemical UV filters to provide broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection. These modern filters are known for being highly effective, stable, and gentle—making them ideal for the delicate lip area.
Unlike older-generation chemical sunscreens, these filters are less likely to cause irritation and are safe for daily use. Our formula is also free from dyes, fragrances, and any preservatives known to cause adverse skin reactions.
Why does this product leave a bitter taste in my mouth when I drink something after applying it?
That’s actually a really common experience with certain skincare products, especially sunscreens or serums. This is because some ingredients can travel from your lips and get into your mouth when you eat or drink and even a small amount can cause a bitter taste. Our products also don’t have any added flavouring agents to mask the taste as these can irritate the delicate skin around the lips.
The best option to mitigate the taste in this case would be to wipe the product off prior to eating or drinking if you have a tendency to ingest it and then reapply it once you’re done. Hope this helps!
