Urea
Urea is an essential part of the skin’s Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF) and forms around 7% of it by weight. It helps skin stay hydrated. It’s small molecular weight allows it to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin and provide lasting hydration. Studies have shown that topical urea is an effective treatment for dry skin, dermatitis and even fungal acne, when in a fungal acne-safe formulation such as this one.
